Lynn Pierson is a Senior Associate in Valuation Services with Acuitas, Inc. Ms. Pierson has over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance and provides valuation consulting services for various entities as well as assisting in providing business and financial advice to attorneys and clients in the litigation process. Most recently, Ms. Pierson assisted in researching and writing Fair Value Measurements: Practical Guidance and Implementation and has prepared valuation course materials for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and American Society of Appraisers.
Prior to joining Acuitas, Ms. Pierson worked at First Data Corporation in the Treasury Department as Manager of Pension Investments and in its Corporate Accounting Department’s SEC Reporting Group. Before that she worked at The Coca-Cola Company in the Corporate Finance Division as a budget analyst and at Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc. in the Corporate Controller’s Group as an acquisition analyst and accountant. She began her career as an auditor of privately held companies with Deloitte.
Ms. Pierson has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee where she majored in finance and an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School with a concentration in accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds the designation Chartered Financial Analyst. Ms. Pierson is a member of National Women in Pensions, the CFA Institute, the CFA Society of Atlanta, and the American Institute of CPAs.
